Disciples of Christ

The Rev. Dr. Geneal Wilson is a native of southern Illinois. She attended Southern Illinois University. As a Licensed Minister, she served two Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregations in Indiana before entering seminary. In 1987, she received her Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary. In 1994 she received her Doctor of Ministry degree with a focus on preaching from the same seminary.

After her ordination in 1987, Pastor Wilson served Christian Church congregations in Sheridan, IN, Lakewood, OH and Toledo, OH before being called to Strasburg Christian Church in 2006.

She and her husband, Roland (Pete), have two sons, Roland and Brett.

Half & Whole Notes Director Judy Rinker

Judy Rinker directs the two youth choirs: The Half Notes and The Whole Notes. The choirs are divided by age and singing ability. The children range in age from 3 to 14 years old. They sing for worship and present special seasonal musicals and programs.

Judy began directing children’s choirs when she was 18 years old. She feels called by God to do this and has started a children’s choir at every church where she has been a member. She believes that children feel a part of worship when they sing, and that through their music, they learn teamwork, build self-esteem and have fun while praising God and learning His Word through songs.

Judy works full-time as the executive assistant to the president of Lord Fairfax Community College. She and her husband Rick have two grown children and two grandchildren.
